About PDFTools

PDFTools is a collection of free, privacy-first PDF utilities. Unlike most online PDF services, our tools run entirely inside your web browser — your documents are never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never seen by anyone but you.

Why we built this

People shouldn't have to hand sensitive documents — contracts, IDs, bank statements — to a third-party server just to merge or sign a PDF. Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work locally, so we built tools that do exactly that: fast, free, unlimited, and completely private.

How it works

Each tool uses open-source technology (such as pdf-lib and pdf.js) to process your file on your own device. When you click a button, the work happens in your browser and the result downloads straight to you — no round trip to any server.

Our in-browser tools are free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising and relevant recommendations, which lets us keep the core tools free for everyone.
